July 3, 2009 - California!!!

Last night was MAGIC! We had the opportunity to go to Cirque du Soleil, the show was called "O". It was amazing! The show was so funny and still had the best of the best performers! We were so glad we got to go. After that two limos were waiting for us at the Bellagio to take us back to the hotel!!! We couldn't believe it, two nights in a row!!

Today we said "hello" to CALIFORNIA!!!!!

We went to the Universal Studios Theme Park for the afternoon. It was so cool seeing some actual places where a lot of famous movies and TV Shows are filmed (Desperate Housewives, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future ... just to name a few). We also went on some rides like The Simpsons, The Haunted house, The Mummy, Jurassic Park and the Studio Tour.

After that we had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp. (The restaurant from Forest Gump) The food was great and the environment/people were really fun. It was a great place for us to be because they encouraged us to be loud! :)

This trip has been so tiring so far but at the same time, it is the best trip of our lives!!!

Tomorrow is the Fourth of July (USA's Independence Day) and we are excited to see how the Americans celebrate it. We are going to NEWPORT BEACH and HOLLYWOOD!

A Little Extra Blog:

There are no words to describe the West Coast Trip thus far it has been an absolutely amazing trip starting when we visited the Grand Canyon. The view was absolutely breath taking, it was picture perfect one student said to me, "looking at something so perfect and beautiful you know that there has to be a higher power to create this". After the Grand Canyon we traveled to Las Vegas where we were able to spend time on the strip by taking a limo and seeing Las Vegas in true style. It was a blast it was a good time had by all. Some of us got to attend an amazing show at the Bellagio called Cirque du Soleil 'O'. The students, chaperones and monitors were taken back with the performance. After the show we had a big surprise with a special treat of a limo to take us back to the hotel. Today we arrived in La where we went to Universal Studios Hollywood and ate at Bubba Gump. It was a wonderful day with good weather! We were able to eat, enjoy rides and take a tour of the studios. We are half way through the trip and I am so grateful to be on this amazing trip and I look forward to the second week of the trip!
