July 2, 2009 - and more Vegas!!!

The time that we spent in Vegas was amazing!!!!

Yesterday we left the hotel in the morning and we had free time to enjoy the city and to shop a lot on the Strip. We visited some of the famous hotels and casinos, like the New York New York, the Bellagio, and Caesars Palace. And of course, we had the chance to take awesome pictures!

Inside the Bellagio, we saw the famous chocolate fountain, and like in all of the other casinos, there were a lot of people gambling. Inside casinos here, you can't tell if it's day or night, because the atmosphere is always the same inside those places. We had lunch over there and at three o'clock the bus took us to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The Hotel is really big, with a huge casino area, bars, and a big pool, where they have one of the most famous pool parties in Vegas.

After that, we went to the Stratosphere hotel/casino where we had a fantastic panoramic view of the city, and we could go on some rides on top of the tower. The elevator took us to the top of the tower (that is really tall) in just seconds flat. The three rides were crazy and a lot of students went on them! We then descended down to the Stratosphere's buffet! We had a wonderful dinner over there, with a gigantic buffet of all types of food and deserts.

At night, some of the group went back to the Strip to see the Bellagio water show again (it is awesome) and to shop a little bit more. The rest of us went back to the hotel to get ready to see the Cirque du Soleil Show. The show that we saw was called "O". This show was very unique because everything happened inside a crazy pool. The water would be there one minuet and the next a stage would rise up! For that reason, that show doesn't travel around the world like the other shows do, which means that we had an unique opportunity! That show was the most incredible thing we have ever seen. Sometimes the pool would get really deep, with a lot of people jumping in and one second later, the water was inches deep with performers running across it. All the performers were excellent, and we felt like we were watching something surreal. Sometimes was hard to believe that I was really there!

When the show was over, we thought we were going to get a shuttle to get back to the hotel, because it was late night and our bus drivers had to sleep early, but once we get to the lobby area of the Bellagio, there were two limos waiting for us!

Everybody was so excited! It's not often that we get to ride inside a limo, in Vegas, two days in a row!

Now we are heading to L.A., in the sunny California State, and we are really looking forward to see the Universal Studios in Hollywood, where we will go in a lot of fun rides and see the studios where some of the TV shows are recorded.

California, here we come!!!
